PCAs are an important part of providing people with choices about the care they receive to live life the way they want.
The responsibilities of a PCA include:
- Helping with daily personal care needs, such as bathing/showering, dressing, eating, moving around/mobility, and transfers (such as from a bed to a chair).
- Planning and preparing meals.
- Bringing individuals to appointments and other outings.
- Act as a companion.
- Any help needed to allow someone to live independently at home.
Benefits:
- $18.25 per hour, increasing to $23 per hour by January 1, 2026
